Sherlock , series 3 , ep 2

It’s Watson’s wedding day , and against his better judgement , he’s decided to ask Sherlock to be his best man. After much reluctance , Sherlock accepts and throws himself into the job – but folding napkins and sorting seating plans is not where Sherlock’s skills lie.

Fortunately, a pair of seemingly unsolvable crimes pop up, leaving the great (consulting) detective torn between entertaining the wedding guests and saving a life. There’s a very different feel to this episode , which hints at some of Watson and Holmes’ greatest achievements in flashback.
Where it is similar to last week’s opening installment , though , is the chemistry between Benedict Cumberbatch , Martin Freeman and his real-life wife Amanda Abbington , who plays Mary. Sherlock’s speech and the stag do , meanwhile , are comedy gold.
